The Future Investment that is Forex

9 March 2009 No Comment

Compared to the various other ways of investment Forex has many advantages. It is open 24 hours a day except for the weekends. After the US market comes the European and then the Asian. Sometimes it’s best to trade during the periods that overlap. It’s known that between 5am & 9am the USA and European markets overlap and then the Euro & Asian between 11pm & 1am eastern. It’s usually the busiest and best time to trade.

A risk factor also exists for the accounts. You can receive margin calls with futures and options that can bring you down. Getting caught in a bad trade you can lose your money in the account and you may even have to come up with more money transferred from elsewhere. Trading can be very risky but not with Forex. That’s because the worse that can happen to you is losing the money in your account but that can only happen if you do something truly stupid. It can be something like starting a big trade on a Fundamental day and then leaving or it could be that the market makes a bad move and you were absent from the trade. That of course would not happen with a smart trader.

In your disposal you also have demo accounts. These are accounts with which you can trade using all the helpful gear like platforms, charts and information. This is also known as paper trading as you’re not using real money.

With Forex you also enjoy having a mini account and you don’t need thousands of dollars to start a trade. An account can be opened with only $300.00. You will be trading now at only one tenth of a trade though as you’ll control 10,000 instead of 100,000.00. As these are call lots you’ll be risking only one tenth too.

If you would want to become an investor without risking too much Forex trading is what you should pay attention to.
